Volleyball: Grace Struggles At Concordia University

SEWARD, NEBRASKA: The Grace University women's volleyball team traveled to Seward, Nebraska, and played Concordia University, a member of the GPAC, on Tuesday, October 24.  The Royals lost the match in 3 sets with scores of 16-25, 20-25, and 16-25. 

The Royals struggled to match the offense of the Concordia Bulldogs, losing the first set by 9 at 16-25.  Grace only lost the second set by 5 at 20-25, but ultimately fell in the third set by 9 points again at 16-25.  The Royals only had 21 kills to the Bulldog's 44; Concordia's Tara Callahan, the GPAC setter of the week, had 11 kills.  Grace had 34 digs to Concordia's 44.  Taylor Thompson led the Royals in digs with 9.  Grace's top hitters were Kara Peters, Aaliyah Dunbar, and Marissa Waddel with 5 kills each. 

UP NEXT: The Royals will travel to Yankton, South Dakota, to play the Mt. Marty College Lancers on Thursday, October 26.  The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
