Volleyball: Grace Defeats Union in 3 Sets

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA: The Royals traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska, and played Union College on October 7.  The two teams played once before this season on September 14, when Grace won in three sets at home.  This time, Grace beat Union in 3 sets with scores of 25-17, 25-9, and 25-8. 

The Royals played well against Union, beating them by 8 in the first set 25-17.  The Royals did not allow Union to score more than 9 points per set the next two sets, winning 25-9 and 25-8.  Grace had 38 kills (.300) and 23 digs.  Senior Becca Entz led the Royals in kills with 17 (.533), helped by Aaliyah Dunbar with 7 kills (.316).  The Royals had 8 serve aces, 4 of which came from sophomore Destiny Vazquez, and 5 blocks. 

UP NEXT: The Royals will travel to Madison, South Dakota, to play Dakota State University on Friday, October 13, 2017.  The match will start at 6 p.m.
