Volleyball: Grace Falls to Mayville State in 3 Sets

BELLEVUE, NEBRASKA: Bellevue University hosted a triangular with Grace University and Mayville State University on Saturday, September 21. Royals first played the Mayville Comets at 2pm. Game was played in 3 sets, with the scores of 15-25, 14-25, and 21-25.

Lady Royals started off slow with a score of 3-13 in the first set. By the third set, Grace picked up the pace and was playing much cleaner. Grace ended the game with better confidence and team culture.

Royals had 53 digs, 13 coming from Libero, Destiny Vazquez, and 14 from Alicia Pierce. The Royals had 32 kills and the Comets had 45. Becca Entz, Aaliyah Dunbar, and Taylor Thompson each had 7 kills. Pierce and Marissa Waddel each had 5 kills, and Chloe Corbet had 1. The Royals' new setter, Corbet, had 25 set assists. Both Katie Entz and Karissa Negley had some great serve receive passes and defensive digs as well.

UP NEXT: The Royals play Friday, September 29, at Governor's State University in University Park, IL (7pm). Then twice on Saturday, September 30, in Gary, IN. Indiana University Northwest at 11am, and Judson University at 1pm.
