Royals Welcome Defensive Specialist Katie Entz

Coach Courtney Moore and the women's volleyball team are thrilled to announce the addition of Katie Entz to the 2017 team roster.  Katie will be coming to the team as a defensive specialist from Mason City, NE. 
 
Katie attended Nebraska Christian High School in Central City, NE and graduated in May 2017.  Katie played volleyball, basketball and ran track throughout her high school career.  In addition, Katie spends her summers riding and showing reining horses. Katie has a long history of Grace athletics in her family.  Her father, Darrel Entz, attended Grace and played basketball for the Royals from 1981-83.  Her brother, Levi, played basketball here from 2009-13 and her sister, Chelsea, played volleyball from 2011-14.   Her cousin, Becca Entz, is a current member of the Royals volleyball roster.  
 
Coach Moore says about Katie, "Katie is one of those recruits that God has sent to our team.  She has the athleticism and the character that coaches dream of having on their roster. Also, she fits a positional need for us on our roster this year and has great upward potential. I cannot wait to see what all Katie contributes to our team this year and beyond."
 
Katie will be studying Business during her time at Grace University. When asked why she should Grace University she responded, "I love everything that Grace stands for biblically. I am excited to continue my bible education!"  

Royals volleyball begins competition August 22, 2017 at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, IA at 6:00pm.
