Women’s Soccer: Grace Beats Manhattan Christian 5—0 for Second Win of the Season

MANHATTAN, KANSAS: The Royals traveled to Manhattan, Kansas, and played the Manhattan Christian College Thunder, long-term rivals of the Royals, on Friday, October 20.  Grace shut out Manhattan 5—0, their second win in the last three games, to improve their record to 2-10-1 this season. 

Grace played an excellent game against Manhattan.  Grace did not allow Manhattan to shoot the ball even once while the Royals had 37 shots, 24 of which were on-goal.  Junior Aubrey Raymond scored the first goal of the game with an assist from Jada Ready twenty-five minutes into the first half.  Alyx Scholl scored less than ten minutes later to bring the score to 2—0.  Less than a minute into the second half, senior Bethany Loux scored, making the score 3—0; she scored her second goal of the game fourteen minutes later.  Aleda Renter sealed the shutout with a goal in the eighty-second minute to bring the score to 5—0. 

UP NEXT: The Royals will travel to Moore, Oklahoma, to play Randall University on Saturday, October 21.  Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
