Women’s Soccer: Grace Ties with Doane University 1—1

OMAHA, NEBRASKA: The Grace University women's soccer team played Doane University, a member of the GPAC, on Saturday, September 16, at home.  After going into double overtime, the game tied at 1.  The Royals now have a 0-5-1 record for the season so far.

The first goal of the game came from the Tigers in the 16th minute.  The Royals were unable to score in the first half, although freshman keeper Kallie Gibson had 4 saves, and were down 0—1 at halftime.  A goal from Grace's Aubrey Raymond in the 57th minute tied the score at 1.  Junior goalie Reyna Smith contributed 7 saves in the second half and overtime. 

UP NEXT: The Royals play at home against the Briar Cliff Chargers on Tues., Sept, 19.  The game will be held at Bergquist Stadium starting at 6 p.m.
