DUBUQUE, IOWA: The Grace University Royals (1—2) traveled to Clarke University and lost 0—6 to the Pride on Sat., Sept. 2.
Grace allowed Clarke to score their first goal 12 minutes into the game, followed by a second goal 6 minutes later. The Royals kept Clarke from scoring again until the last minute of the half when Clarke made a penalty kick and brought the score to 0—3 at halftime. In the second half, Clarke scored 3 more times and finished the game 0—6. Throughout the game, Grace shot 5 times, 4 times on-goal, while Clarke shot 35 times. Senior goalkeeper Spencer Hoyt had 13 saves.
